CCTV platform

A wide camera range for homes, businesses and industrial sites.

Hikvision offers fixed and adjustable-lens cameras, compatible NVRs and remote viewing across a large product range — which is why the exact model matters.

The problem

Why it matters

With so many models, two cameras from the same brand can perform very differently at night or offer different detection features. Choosing by brand alone isn't enough.

How it works

Our approach

  1. 01We select fixed or adjustable-lens cameras for each view and environment.
  2. 02Low-light and colour imaging options are chosen on selected models after checking the location's lighting.
  3. 03A compatible NVR is sized for channels, recording load and retention.
  4. 04Event detection is configured where the selected equipment supports it, and remote viewing is set up securely.

Existing-system upgrades

Many properties already have Hikvision equipment. We assess firmware, condition, image quality and compatibility, and recommend what to keep, update or replace.

Confirming features

Analytics and night performance vary across the range, so we confirm each feature against the selected model rather than assuming it applies to every Hikvision camera.

How it fits together

Camera → network → recording → viewing

  1. Camera

Captures the view it was positioned and configured for.

  2. Network

Cabling and PoE switching carry video and power.

  3. Recording

An NVR or console stores footage for the retention target.

  4. Viewing

Authorised users watch live, search and export on phone or desktop.
