Visitor-facing venues
From the front counter to the outdoor space
Cafes and restaurants, retail stores and shopping centres, waiting rooms and reception areas, community facilities, sporting clubs, events and function venues, outdoor public spaces and other visitor-facing businesses.
- Indoor and outdoor coverage
- Planning for busy periods and simultaneous users
- Simple connection options
- Branded welcome screens
- Optional email and mobile signup
- Session time limits
- Per-device bandwidth limits
- Guest isolation and separation from business systems
- Management across multiple venues
The guest network is designed separately from staff computers, payment terminals, CCTV and operational equipment. Coverage and capacity are planned together, so busy periods are part of the design.
A branded welcome screen controls the connection process. Wireless encryption and network security are configured separately.

The right network, not just one brand
WiFi and networking solutions matched to your property, users and budget. We work with Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti UniFi, RUCKUS, Aruba, Juniper, Aerohive and more.
- Ubiquiti UniFi
- Cisco Meraki
- Cisco
- RUCKUS
- Aruba

- Aerohive
- Other / please advise
We design, install, configure, troubleshoot and upgrade multi-manufacturer networks. We can assess existing equipment, troubleshoot performance, expand coverage, upgrade ageing systems and recommend suitable replacement options. Other manufacturers are subject to assessment.
Features, licensing and integration options depend on the selected equipment and software. UniFi and Cisco Meraki have indicative calculator allowances; other brands require pricing after assessment.
Guest connection
Collect details, verify details — or neither
Choose the connection experience that suits your visitors. Collecting contact details does not prove ownership; verification is a separate step.
- No splash page
- Connect without completing a welcome screen.
- Click-to-connect
- Accept WiFi terms and connect without entering personal details.
- Shared access password
- A shared network password supplied by the venue.
- Email signup
- Collect an email address. Ownership is not verified unless email verification is enabled.
- Mobile signup
- Collect a mobile number. Ownership is not verified unless mobile verification is enabled.
- Email and mobile signup
- Collect both details, with verification configured independently for each.
- Verified email
- A code or magic link verifies email ownership before full access.
- Verified SMS
- A one-time SMS code verifies mobile ownership before full access.
- Enterprise sign-in
- Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace or another supported business identity provider, subject to compatibility and configuration.
- Supported social sign-in
- Available providers depend on the selected platform or guest-portal service and verified provider requirements.
- Voucher or access code
- Reception, staff or event organisers supply codes with expiry, usage and device limits where supported.
- Hotel guest validation
- Room or booking details are verified only through a working, compatible hotel management integration.
Email and mobile fields can appear together, with verification independently enabled or disabled for each. Staff needing enterprise wireless authentication can be assessed for a separate 802.1X/RADIUS or certificate-based solution.
Platform compatibility
Confirmed for your equipment, not assumed
Portal features vary across Cisco Meraki, UniFi, RUCKUS, Aruba, Juniper, Aerohive and other platforms.
- Built-in manufacturer features
- A compatible external guest WiFi platform
- A separately scoped custom integration
We assess equipment, controller and software versions, licensing, identity providers and integration requirements before confirming a solution. Not every authentication option is available natively on every brand.
These service pages, interactive examples and enquiry forms are not an operating guest portal. Live deployments require a separately configured network integration using supported authorisation methods. Enterprise and social users sign in on their identity provider's own page.
Optional management
Keep the welcome current
Where supported, optional guest portal management can include:
- Edit branding and welcome messages
- Choose enabled access methods and signup fields
- Set verification requirements independently
- Create and manage vouchers
- Set session duration and device limits
- Configure bandwidth policies
- Select post-login destinations
- View connection and signup reporting
- Export permitted signup information
- CRM or marketing integration where separately configured
Marketing consent stays separate from WiFi terms acceptance. Opt-in is optional, unchecked by default and never required for basic WiFi access. Reporting must label submitted details as unverified unless the relevant verification was completed. Exports and marketing integrations are subject to permissions and privacy requirements.
