Service
Planned, installed and tested — not guessed.
We plan access point locations around your building and how you use it, then install, configure and check coverage in the areas we've agreed.
The problem
Why it matters
Dead zones, drop-outs and slow rooms usually come from poor placement, wireless relaying, interference or too many devices on too few access points.
How it works
Our approach
- 01Discovery and survey identify construction, interference and where devices are used.
- 02Access points are mounted on ceilings or walls and cabled back to PoE switching.
- 03Networks are configured with sensible security, separate guest and device networks where needed.
- 04Coverage is checked in agreed areas at commissioning. We don't promise fixed coverage per access point because buildings differ.

- Other / please advise
We design, install, configure, troubleshoot and upgrade multi-manufacturer networks. We can assess existing equipment, troubleshoot performance, expand coverage, upgrade ageing systems and recommend suitable replacement options. Other manufacturers are subject to assessment.
Features, licensing and integration options depend on the selected equipment and software. UniFi and Cisco Meraki have indicative calculator allowances; other brands require pricing after assessment.
Compare platforms
Ubiquiti UniFi vs Cisco Meraki
Both are professional platforms. The right choice depends on management needs, scale and total cost of ownership.
| Ubiquiti UniFi | Cisco Meraki | |
|---|---|---|
| Management | Local console or gateway, optional remote access | Cisco cloud dashboard |
| Recurring licence | Not required for core features | Required — quoted separately |
| Typical scale | Homes to medium businesses | Businesses to multi-site organisations |
| CCTV integration | UniFi Protect in the same app | Separate Meraki MV range |
| Indicative AP allowance | $450 ex GST | $800 ex GST (excludes licence) |
How installation works
Six clear steps, no surprises
- Step 1
Discovery
Address, sector, floor area, construction, devices, current issues, floor plans and the outcomes you need.
- Step 2
Survey & design
Pathways, mounting locations, WiFi coverage, interference, capacity, camera views and line of sight.
- Step 3
Itemised proposal
Hardware models, cable types, testing, storage, licences, recurring charges, assumptions and exclusions.
- Step 4
Installation
Mount equipment, run and label cabling, terminate and patch, install fibre and configure the system.
- Step 5
Commissioning
Test cabling, check WiFi in agreed areas, check cameras day and night where practical, verify recording.
- Step 6
Handover
Credentials via a secure method, diagrams and labels, test results, compliance documentation and training.
